The second Talent Pipeline Conference hosted by ICFNJ brought industry professionals together with representatives of independent colleges to share rare insights into corporate recruiting strategies, career success tools and ways to address the gap between college graduation and a first job. Speakers included ICFNJ President Lou Manzione, Ph.D., Jenn Guerin of Trane NY/NJ, Jessica Willard of Ingersoll Rand and Jan Percival of Accenture. Stefani Thachick, Office of the Secretary of Higher Education in New Jersey, and Colleen Malloy, Portfolium, joined the event via conference call.
Percival outlined a free digital learning and career readiness platform, Skills to Succeed Academy, which allows participants to work virtually through a series of career advancing or delaying tactics. Group discussion of industry expectations for college graduates followed.
