On March 24, 2022 in Hennessy Hall on Fairleigh Dickinson University’s campus in Madison, NJ donors and students had an opportunity to meet in the person after a two year hiatus because of COVID. Students seated at the table with ICUNJ VP of Development, MaryAlice Breuninger, expressed their excitement about attending classes, interacting with faculty and peers, and spending time in the lab. They had stayed their educational paths and were preparing for meaningful career experiences. The Schering-Plough Research Scholar (Jacquelyn Washington) and Novo Nordisk Scholar (Cristina Altamirano) were among the students present. Both are scholarships that ICUNJ administers to help students reach degree completion. As always, the gratitude for financial support was overwhelming as students noted the help it provided them in meeting college expenses.
