Scholarship Donors Add Value to College Career

Aug 4, 2023

Novartis Scholar, Caldwell University student, Samuel Annan, pictured with Steve Reynolds, ICUNJ President, added finishing with top honors at the 2023 Undergraduate Research Symposium to his resume after receiving scholarship award for scientific research.

Each year, ICUNJ administers scholarships through the generosity of donors who understand that finances can be a barrier to college degree success. The funds help to offset costs, provide a confirmation of a student’s major choice and heighten career aspirations by giving students an increased sense of confidence. It supports their sacrifices while working toward a degree. It encourages them to reach their potential. In an era when mental health issues are reaching epidemic levels on college campuses, a simple scholarship gives a student more than financial relief, it fuels their self-esteem.

ICUNJ administered scholarships are unique because they are stacked awards that do not take away from support already in place and they can be used to address the costs of attendance making them far more flexible in meeting the varied expenses associated with earning a degree. Students who have demonstrated a commitment to their educational pursuits are eligible to apply for support.

Support for the following competitive scholarships is being sought for the 2023-24 academic year:

BD – Healthcare Scholarships (one at each member institutions)
